How To: Upload a Company Document
To upload a new company document for users to view or download, navigate to Our Company / Document Upload. Click Upload Document.
In the Select File screen, choose the file to upload.
Under Extra Settings:
- Display Name: The name that will display to users selecting the document. This setting is always recommended.
- Category: Category for the document, such as Forms. If no options are available, this step may be skipped.
- Document Type: Sets a user or company defined type to the document. Visibility settings may be built into these selections and will determine who can see and download the document. To view the Document Types click on the hyperlinked title. Using the pencil icon you may view the Visible By and Download By settings for each document type to see which accounts are able to view and download documents.
- Description: Describes the document (optional)
- Extra Info #1 - #3: Up to 3 extra information fields allow you to add more detail about the document (optional)
- Directory: If the document is sourced from a directory, enter that here for information purposes (optional)
- Can Be Downloaded By Accounts: Set a filter to restrict who can see the document when it is used/applied in the system. Check the document type settings to determine if a filter is already in place with these settings. The Document Type visibility will override this filter, so this only needs to be modified if a filter does not exist on the document type.
