How To: Email a Pay Statement to an Employee
Due to the sensitive nature of the information contained in employee pay statements, they cannot be automatically emailed to employees. Emailing pay statements poses significant security risks; if a message is misaddressed or an employee's email account is compromised, personal payroll data could be exposed to unauthorized individuals. AtlasHR recommends directing employees to the online portal to securely access their personal pay statements.
- Employees can securely view and download their pay statements through the employee portal. This method ensures confidentiality and compliance with data privacy standards. See How To: View My Pay Stub
- Administrators may download individual employee pay statements as needed. However, if pay statements must be emailed, extreme caution should be used. Emails can be misdirected, intercepted, or accessed by unintended recipients, potentially leading to data breaches.
- To enhance communication, administrators can enable notifications to alert employees when new pay statements are available in the portal. Contact AtlasHR if you wish to have automatic email alerts when pay statements have been finalized.
